Welcome

U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps

Aurora Division

Aurora, Illinois

If you are between 11 and 17 years old, and are interested in adventure, why not join us? Cadets receive training aboard Navy and Coast Guard ships and schools and wear Navy uniforms marked with Sea Cadet Corps insignia. Click on the "Tour" and "FAQ" buttons to see videos and learn more about what cadets learn and do and the types of Sea Cadet units in the Chicagoland area. Then click on "News" to learn about current and past events and "Ship’s Log" to read reports from cadets about their activities.

We invite you to be our guest at one of our drills to get a taste of the Sea Cadets. Our drills are held at the Army Reserve Center in Aurora, IL on two Saturdays of each month from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (bring your own lunch). One of your parents will need to talk to the officers when you arrive. Click on the "Contact Us" button to request more information about the Sea Cadets program, directions to the Reserve Center, or the drill schedule. BE SURE TO CONTACT US BEFORE YOU COME to make sure the Division isn't off at a field trip or other activity that day, and to arrange access to the Reserve Center (which is closed to civilians).

Current cadets be sure to check the "What's New" page for the latest updates to this site. Also visit the "Ship's Log" for information on how you can submit stories about your involvement in the Sea Cadet program and tell others about our drills and activities.

Regardless of your opinion about whether we should be at war or not, please join us in supporting our troops in harms way. Their honor and dedication to our country deserves our gratitude and respect. Also remember to respect ALL Americans, regardless of race, religion, gender, or opinions. Our diversity, and ability to disagree with each other, is our greatest strength, not a weakness.
