  1. All advancements require the recommendation of the Commanding Officer
  2. Cadet must attain a score of 3.2 or higher on correspondence courses.
  3. Cadet must attain a score of 60 or higher on the PO3 & PO2 exams, and 63 or higher on the PO1 exam.
  4. Cadets must complete 1 NHQ scheduled advanced training for each advancement
    1. E-2 and minimum age of 14 is required for all ATs; some ATs have higher or additional requirements.
    2. USN Recruiting Duty may only be used once for a cadet as an Advanced Training.
    3. POLA must be completed for advancement to PO2. If POLA was completed for an earlier advancement, another AT must be taken to advance to PO2.
    4. Cadet must have staffed at a Recruit Training after completing POLA before advancement to CPO.
  5. Cadets must submit an entry to the Ship's Log for each training attended prior to advancement to the next rank.
  6. Cadets must have passed the physical fitness test (PFT) within the 6 months prior to any advancement.

  1. All advancements require the recommendation of the Commanding Officer

  3. Cadets must submit an entry to the Ship's Log for each training attended prior to advancement, but are NOT required to attend trainings for advancement.
  4. Cadets must have passed the physical fitness test (PFT) within the 6 months prior to any advancement.
